Baby Boy Christening- SPECIAL BLESSINGS

Hello and how’s your weekend going? I am in work today for 3 hours so I am quickly blogging before I have to leave.
I was asked to make a Christening card a few weeks back and I am sharing it with you all today.  I am doing it a bit differently and I would love to ask for your opinion.
Today I will include the measurements and a basic * how to*, I would be grateful if you let me know if this is something you might like to see in the future with my cards or if you are happy with just a supply list. Thank you  Smile
I used the same square layout you have seen on my blog a few weeks back, as I think it works so well and is so easy when you’re a bit stuck for inspiration. Is also perfect for those symmetry freaks Winking smile
Here’s my dimensions for the layers in case you want to give it a go yourself this weekend.
The baja breeze card blank measure 15cmx15 cm
Cut 4 squares of crumb cake card at 6.5cm x 6.5cm,
Cut 4 more squares of designer paper(elegant soiree) at 6cm x 6cm
Adhere the small squares together and run them through the vintage wallpaper embossing folder
Sponge the edges with Crumb cake ink and adhere to your card blank.
For the focal panel cut a square of baja breeze card stock at 8.5cm x 8.5cm
Cut a square of whisper white card at 8cmx8cm
Stamp the dove from the Special Blessings stamp set in Crumb Cake ink and the cross separately in Soft suede ink. Cut the cross out and mount on the white panel using dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiment from Hopeful Thoughts in Soft Suede ink and mount on top of the baja breeze layer. Punch two more flowers in baja breeze card using the Itty Bitty punch and adhere to the cross.

Wrap some baja breeze seam binding around the base of the card then mount the focal panel on top using dimensionals.  To crumple the seam binding simply leave the ends a bit longer and spritz with some water then fold tightly in your hands to crumple it well. Works a treat and it looks fab too.  I used a small button on the knot and stuck it down with 2 glue dots.
Here’s the supply list
PAPER: baja breeze, crumb cake and whisper white cardstock, elegant soiree designer paper
STAMP SETS: special blessings, hopeful thoughts
INKS: crumb cake, soft suede
TOOLS: itty bitty punch, big shot, vintage wallpaper embossing folder, dauber for sponging the edges
EMBELISHMENTS : rhinestones, baja breeze seam binding, button.
I hope you will have a fabulous weekend see you again very soon. till then big hugs xxx
