Daisy Die- Stampin’Up!

Hello there, oh gosh I bad at blogging normally but throw Luca into the mix and all plans go out the door Smile.

Yes I picked up the little ray of sunshine on my Birthday this Sunday for a full week of FUN and cuddles and another cold no doubt (I am touching wood here).

So in light of this and until I get some form of routine around here I will post the wedding cake just because the pictures are on my drive.

But before I do I have to tell you about a fab offer for April. Spend £45 and get a pack of papers FREE and you have a choice !!! Click on the picture to find out more Smile then email me your order at telemech01ataol.com

papers april

Pocketful of posies its my favourite one, very elegant papers.

So the cake was a budget one and instead of spending days making sugar flowers I spent a few hours and made paper ones!!!!

I am sorry about the picture quality I run out of light on Friday so I had to rely on my kitchen lighting .

The bride carried hot pink gerberas in her bouquet and as if by magic cue in the Daisy Die and the Big Shot machine from Stampin’Up! and I was done.

The flowers came together quite quickly, each layer was worked with my flower making tool, inked then glued together.

the centres were punched in black card stock and to add some texture I have used some flock I had for ages. This gave the flowers a very realistic look.

Brown covered wires were twisted into curls and added behind the blooms.

The tiers were simply decorated with some black satin ribbon topped with the Melon mambo spotty ribbon and some chunky irregular piping.

It was a completely different feel to the previous cake and I had so much fun doing it. Next in line its a very special Christening cake  for my sweet friend Gill Smile, I love to make cakes for baby celebrations. Right I am off to help with teeth cleaning, dressing and other tasks. Thank you for visiting me come back tomorrow as I will have some crafty projects.
