A box of coasters…

Hello there,

I hope your weekend is going well. I have scheduled the last few posts on my blog, I hope you have been enjoying the projects everyone made at my last Retreat.

I am sharing the last class we made on Sunday and next time you will get to see what everyone got up to at the pyjama party on Monday and Saturday night.

But first  our project, we took one of the ever useful window boxes and filled them with the sweetest gift that takes minutes to make and it will cost under £4.

Here’ it is

I AM LOVING this so much. We stamped each cork coaster in Black Staz On using the Medallion Frames and Papillion Pot Pourri.

Everyone got their own chalk marker in this kit and we coloured the flutters by firstly adding a white chalk base, then using blender pens and reinker to add the colour to them.

step 2

I used pool party and Pumpkin Pie :)

We packaged them in a simply decorated box, and made some trendy feathers out of card stock for the front of the box.

step 7

And that was that :)

Thank you for your visit, I hope to see you soon. Till then as always big hugs xx

Weekend Retreat is now Full. If you would like a place on my week days one there are still places available. Email me on to reserve a place or enquire about it.

  1. I came across this post via Pinterest. I never thought of stamping on cork coasters! Thank you so much for the idea and the tip on how to color in on it. I can't wait to try this project. (I am a demonstrator also, please feel free to visit my blog - the link is under my name)

  2. Love the coasters and box Monica... Now where are those cork coasters I have lying around somewhere.... Thanks for inspiring me ( again!)

  3. How pretty and such a useful gift and great project.
    Thank you

  4. This is so pretty! I love this idea. Thank you so much for sharing. You packaged it so lovely! : )

  5. This is so pretty! I love this idea. Thank you so much for sharing. You packaged it so lovely! : )

  6. Great project idea! Don't you need to seal the colored area from moisture? I would think that the Reinker would come off when wet. Perhaps some crystal effects on Top of the butterfly?

  7. These are very nice. What a great gift idea.

  8. These are lovely, and look easy enough to make. I was also wondering about sealing the colored image so it won't bleed when it gets wet. Did you seal with something? Thanks for sharing.

  9. These are very pretty but I'm wondering about the colors bleeding when they get wet. Did you seal them, if so with what? tfs

  10. These are so cute but I was wondering did you seal them with something to prevent the colors from bleeding when they get wet? tfs

Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment, I really apreciate it as I love hearing from you. Hugs Monica xxx
